In 2011, a few wine enthusiast friends got together to create a way for premium wine to be available for glass pours at restaurants and bars. Those enthusiasts created Proletariat Wine Company where high quality wine was put in reusable stainless steel kegs to be poured on tap by the glass. The result was a cost efficient, environmentally friendly, no waste wine by the glass program for the restaurant/bar, and an excellent wine for the working class masses at a reasonable price.

Today, that same wine is available in bottles to be consumed at home and wherever it travels!

Proletariat Wine Company brings high quality, otherwise expensively priced wines to wine lovers everywhere...at very reasonable prices. We proudly make wines from Northwest USA American Viticultural Areas (AVAs).

Proletariat has been committed to sustainability and the environment since its inception by offering a wine on tap system to restaurants and bars. The kegs used in this system are charged with nitrogen for optimal preservation and because oxygen never touches the wine, it doesn't oxidize at the same rate as normal glass pours.

From day one, patrons who have tasted Proletariat wines on tap have asked how they can get the wines for home consumption and share the excellence with their friends and family. In 2019, we launched Proletariat wines in bottle, and created a Wine Club, where wine lovers everywhere can enjoy our wine at home or anywhere it travels!!

Today, we're the same company, with the same mission and same standards for our quality wine.  Proletariat is devoted to bringing you the wine you've come to expect wherever you want it:  at home, or at your favorite restaurant or bar.

Our first white blend of Viognier, Roussanne and Marsanne pays tribute to the historical and traditional blends of Southern France. Medium in body, scents of warm vanilla and honeycomb are evident, while the flavors of tangerine, white peach, and a whisper of clove coat the palate, ending in a pleasing, long finish.

The complex mouthfeel of our 2022 Chardonnay is built through a combination of French oak and stainless steel tanks. There is a hint of a buttercream characteristic from the oak barrels, and tastes of pear and stone fruit that often are results of the stainless steel.  The finish is smooth with a lingering suggestion of toasted almonds.

Dusty, pale pink in color, the aromas of raspberry and cotton candy delight the senses. The fruit is all in the backdrop with subtle flavors of raspberry and strawberry, accented by notes of watermelon. It's easygoing, light and refreshing and an absolute day drinking staple.

With medium tannins, this smooth red exhibits aromatics of dark stone fruit and has a flavor profile of smoky plums and a trace of allspice.  It's appealingly balanced and finishes with lingering strawberry elegance.

Our 'summer in a glass' Sauvignon Blanc aroma has hints of lemongrass….with a nod toward New Zealand style crispness. 

Brut

Many of you know we have a hard time keeping our bubbles in stock and this will be no different!  The color is iridescent moonlight, with pear and crisp cranapple abundant on the palate. Delightfully fizzy…like OMG!

Grenache Blend

This medium bodied blend tends to have a bit of red raspberry and blackberry. The light, juicy red color keeps you curious and wanting more!

We are very excited about our first Syrah in bottle! This lovely comes from our winemaker's estate vineyard in the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Fragrant notes of red currant and the essence of vanilla delight the senses, while a poised finish of white pepper and mulberry leave your mouth wanting more.

Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

With 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, our most popular red wine has developing tannin with balanced acidity.   It's fruit forward with a pleasant cherry mouth coating.  You'll also taste a splash of Rhubarb with the flavor leaving your mouth watering for another sip!



2021 brought a dry, light-bodied Pinot Gris with aromas of lemon-lime, pear, and stone fruit (think peach and apricot). The essence of peach is exemplified in the flavor of this perfectly balanced white wine.  

Stainless steel and barrel fermentation lead to aromas of green apple, Meyer lemon, and just a touch of baking spice. The palate has influences of brown buttered pear, nectarine and peach with a bright and complex finish.


We can't get enough of these Rose bubbles! Our 2022 release is a bombshell of strawberries on the nose and on the palate. Dry, but not too dry, the bubbles are tight and lead to a delightful cotton candy finish.

This release of our flagship wine continues the tradition of a smooth, well-balanced Cabernet. Wonderfully silky, it fills the mouth without leaving any impression of weight. Scents of tart cherry, a bit of licorice and mocha fill the nose, while musky dark berries and violet flow over the palate. It will have years of prime drinking.

Blueberries burst on the palate, and warm spices and pepper blanket the taste buds in a delightful way. It finishes with hints of chili and paprika.
