This wine has flavors of dark cherry, vanilla and tobacco on the mid-palate. Big bodied and well-structured, the finish is smooth, silky and lingering.

2016 Huston Vineyards Merlot 50% Malbec 50% Blend is a limited production wine crafted from grapes grown in the Snake River Valley AVA. The definitive characteristics of the Snake River Valley AVA begin with high elevation vineyards and dramatic temperature fluctuations during the growing season. Long days of intense sunlight coupled with cool nights brings forth intense fruit flavors balanced with rich structure and lingering tannins.

34% New Oak, 66% Neutral Oak, American Aged 18 Months

Appearance

Crimson red color.

Food Pairing

Smoked tri-tip with a huckleberry glaze, elk medallions with a smoked mushroom risotto or a decadent chocolate torte with a raspberry glaze.
