An Idyllic, warm spring prompted early bud break and vine growth. But an April frost slowed development, caused some vine damage and led to decreased yields. Hot, dry weather in June and July accelerated ripening, but caused some dehydration and sunburn in the fruit. The challenging season ultimately resulted in wines of concentrated flavors, deep color and intense aromatics.
Food Pairing
Traeger smoked baby back ribs, Portobello mushroom ravioli, grilled ribeye or blackberry cobbler.
