Nose
Aromas of sweet tobacco, smoked meat, and dried fruit
Palate
Dried fruit and anise are the prominent flavors of our 2019 Rocinante. This well rounded, balanced red has a lingering finish.
Growing Conditions
2019 was a bit milder in terms of heat than the preceding 2018 vintage. A long, wet spring paved the way for a delayed yet moderately warm growing season. Large canopies helped maintain a normal grape-ripening schedule, which was crucial when an early October frost cut the growing season short.
