Nose
Its bright, bold aromas of succulent strawberries and juicy peaches are immediately noticeable.
Palate
As you take a sip, you'll notice the notes of tangy grapefruit and earthy basalt, which give the wine a nice complexity. The long finish is what really sets this wine apart, though - it ends with a burst of refreshing watermelon that lingers on your palate.
Growing Conditions
2023 was a fast and furious vintage. Bud break was right on target. Spring rains provided adequate moisture for the vines to wake up to, but slowly tapered off as summer approached. Temperatures stayed normal during the growing season, with just a few extreme spikes. Fruit loads were below normal, driving the fruit to ripen a bit earlier than average. The first grapes were picked right before Labor Day, and harvest was complete by early October.
