The 2021 Idaho Harvest started with a mixture of sunshine, clouds, and rain during bloom and early yield assessments appeared as though we would have a similar harvest to 2019 and 2020. Then the heat arrived in June. As much of the Northwest would experience, summer in Idaho would bring the hottest temperatures on record with little precipitation. This trend would continue until the end of September with an extended summer that the fruit didn’t need to achieve ripeness.
