Massive boulders lay beneath wind-blown sand on our Malbec block, naturally creating low-yielding, small berries. The legendary inky purple color of our 6.5 acre Malbec block is owed to these large boulders. Aged 24 months in 75% New American Oak, this Malbec offers velvety texture with ripe blackberry notes

Our Cabernet Sauvignon is grown in the most sun-exposed block of our vineyard, closest to the volcanic vent, which is the source of basaltic rock found in the soil at our site. Experience a wine grown in soil imbued with passion from one of the warmest-temperature wine regions in the West.

SCORIA’s Merlot and Malbec are grown in warm, volcanic soils at 2,670 feet, on one of the highest elevation vineyards in the Snake River Valley AVA. These factors develop bold tannins and concentrate dark fruit aromatics.

As a winery that focuses on cultivating bold wines from a vineyard site with volcanic soil, SCORIA decided to make a Rosé entirely of Merlot. The Merlot was planted in 2016 at SCORIA's Estate Vineyard. This site and location made it possible to produce a Rosé with structure and a crisp finish. Notice the bright fruit characteristics and citrus notes as you enjoy this wine.

SCORIA'S search for beautifully aromatic white wine, with high natural acidity, led us to try Grüner Veltliner. As a winery that focuses on cultivating red varietals, we decided to produce this obscure wine. The grapes were hand-harvested and slowly went through fermentation within stainless steel. Produced in a dry style, SCORIA'S Grüner Veltliner offers bright acidity and intense minerality.
